Carrie (2013) is the third movie based on Stephen King's 1974 novel of the same name directed by Kimberly Peirce (Boys Don't Cry). While I have seen many of the negative reviews of the film calling it "unnecessary" as it follows the 1974 Brian De Palma version too closely (which it definetly does) that in no way takes away any enjoyment of watching the movie.
Carrie is still a great story about using violence to exact revenge on school bullies. It's still entertaining and there are great performances from Chloë Grace Moretz, who is the perfect blend of pretty/ugly and Julianne Moore, who is the perfect blend of old/crazy.
